Premium Kinesiology Tape
I didn’t know what this tape was used for but it reminded me of a loose weave type of Vetwrap bandage I’ve used for pets. Its similar in principle being used for support but the open weave construction of this tape means its breathable, and very similar tp human skin. I’ve used the Vetwrap often for joint support but it can get a bit sweaty, and as its elasticated you need to watch for over compression. blue fingers aren’t a good look….
This tape is perfect, being designed for physio/medical use. the construction negates the downsides of the Vetwrap, while being something every medical kit should have. It can be used for simple joint support either with or without something underneath such as cotton wool, or used as a simple bandage for cuts and sprain. Having been designed for human use as opposed to pets it doesn’t actually need anything under and can be used direct to skin. I sometimes find the extra warmth of cotton wool soothing but for athletes its just the support more than pain relief so being able to use without means maximum flexibility, which is very important. It comes in a reel, in a number of different colours and widths, useful for everything from fingers to trunk of body. the colours are useful too for mental support, if you have an interest in that with brighter colours for positivity and pastels relaxing.
