DoYourFitness Foam Roller »Ishana« Graffiti New Style, High Density Fascia roll for Massage, Workout, Fitness and Pilates,

I know nothing about these so had a poke around the web on what they can be used for. I’ve used a half round ball for balancing at physio and these can be used for balance but they can also be used for self massage and to me that’s sounds a real benefit, and something I’m keen to try. There aren’t any instructions with these but its easy to find info on the web about how to safely use them. The clip below is taken from a useful site

Self-myofascial release, also known as “foam rolling,” has transformed from a once mysterious technique used only by professional athletes, coaches, and therapists to a familiar everyday practice for people at all levels of fitness. Recent information, technology, and affordable products have introduced an increasing array of training and recovery methods to the average person.

Self-myofascial release is a fancy term for self-massage to release muscle tightness or trigger points. This method can be performed with a foam roller, lacrosse ball, Theracane, or your own hands. By applying pressure to specific points on your body you are able to aid in the recovery of muscles and assist in returning them to normal function. Normal function means your muscles are elastic, healthy, and ready to perform at a moment’s notice.

I’ve had a few simple tries with it, but it’s too early to asses proper benefit but it’s easy to use, feels stable with a non slip covering. It feels robust enough for long term, while still being very light to transport. It would fit easily with an exercise mat in one of the doyoursports bags I’ve reviewed.

It comes in three colours in an attractive graffiti style pattern. I’ve the red and black one, and this one is hollow but had closed ends. It feels very firm and able to stand up to use. It arrived in a plastic, shrink wrapped cover, so I was confident it was hygienic. This was part of a larger shipment in a cardboard container, and not in it’s own box, but the shrink wrapping confirmed for me its cleanliness.

I like that the roller has been tested with an independent UK company Looking at their website gives an indication of how through their testing process is, and gives me confidence in the product. Its very important that anything we use is safe, no one wants injuries that could be avoided and of course that comes at a cost. I’ve seen rollers that are cheaper, but for me safety is very important, we’ve only one body and it needs looking after.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
