Great natural skin products, hand and foot balm and bruise and sprain balm

I love to use products which are based around natural products not ones that are full of chemicals, so was pleased to be asked to review these. Our skin is the biggest organ we have and I hate to think I’m adding potentially toxic chemicals to my body if it can be avoided. This quote is direct from the website Our range of products is formulated to address specific areas of personal care with optimum amount of active ingredients and without any harsh chemicals.   http://www.chambers-london.com/skin_care.html

The Neroli and Ylang Ylang oils give the hand a foot balms a pleasant oriental type fragrance and being a teen in the 70’s reminds me so much of the oils we used as perfumes. Poor bus driver must have felt asphyxiated at the cloud of Ylang-Ylang, Patchouli and Sandalwood oils we doused ourselves liberally in. Its probably all Lynx now – seems to be a teen favourite, but we adored all the “hippie” shops with oils and incense sticks, and velvet and lace fabrics. I still do much to my daughter’s dismay! (  Iam looking up Neroli oil now for my diffuser as its one I don’t have!).

Aloe Vera Moisturising and Soothing Hand Balm by Chambers & Co with Coconut and Almond Oils 75ml

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

This comes in a tub with screw lid. I do prefer pump dispensers but this product is too think for one of those so the tub makes sense. I’ve a very dry skin and my hands are always feeling rough. this cream is excellent and they feel soft straight after application. Its a non greasy cream, almost a semi transparent colour and absorbs quickly into skin. I love the smell ( am looking up Neroli oil now for my diffuser as its one I don’t have!).

It’s a cream I’d highly recommend if you love that kind of fragrance and have dry skin. I’ve also used it on my face and body some days when it’s to hand and my skin feels dry. I like that so much thought has gone into a product for my skin, and that it uses oils such as coconut and almond that I know myself are great moisturizers.

Carrot Tissue Regenerating, Soothing Foot Balm Cream for Dry, Cracked Feet and Heels by Chambers & Co With Hemp Oil and Avocado 75ml

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

This comes in a tub with screw lid. I do prefer pump dispensers but this product is too think for one of those so the tub makes sense. I’ve a very dry  skin on my feet, and I rarely wear shoes, preferring to be barefoot even when out in the garden ( summer time anyway!) This cream is excellent and they feel soft straight after application. Its a non greasy cream, almost a semi transparent orange colour and absorbs quickly into skin. Its based on Carrot, Avocado and Hemp and I know that Hemp has anti fungal properties, something I do have issues with on my feet ( well, Foot, I’ve  only one!)
It’s a cream I’d highly recommend if you love that kind of fragrance and have dry feet and/or fungal issues on them.

Arnica, Comfrey & Calendula Cream Balm by Chambers & Co. Traditional remedy for bruises, sprains and muscle pain (75ml)

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

This comes in a tub with screw lid. I do prefer pump dispensers but this product is too think for one of those so the tub makes sense. Its a kind of semi transparent creamy colour, and easily absorbed into skin. I like that its 100% natural ingredients, no chemicals. I grew up in a home where it was arnica cream or witch hazel on bumps ( snigger: typo – I originally wrote Bums…well you could use it there too I guess)  and bruises, along with some ice or cold compress, and remedies such as vinegar or bicarb paste for stings, dock leaves for nettles etc so this feels right for me. Its got a pleasant fragrance of Mint and Lavender, although there’s a faint undertone of the Eucalyptus. I love all of those anyway :-). I like understanding why certain oils are used and this fits in with my knowledge of herbs and herbal treatments with arnica, comfrey and calendula being long used for simple bruises and sprains.

This will be a great addition to my medicine pack.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
