CurtzyTM Set of 6 Silicone Rubber Chocolate Sweet Candy Mould Trays

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

This arrived well packed along with some other items in a secure box, doesn’t have its own box but is sealed in a large clear plastic bag.

There are six trays, each containing many different shapes, from flowers and spoons to teddy bears and cars. I wanted to try them in the oven so made some tiny crisps cookies, but the shapes didn’t show up so well as I put too much mix in each, and also I had a chocolate speckled mix. I think levelling the mix out and sticking to a plain one would have been better. They worked well though and the biscuits slid out easily and cleanly. I used a tiny drop of oil in each applied with a pastry brush to ensure they didn’t stick but I’m not sure that’s necessary. I’m planning to make some shortbreads shapes for xmas.

I also made some chocolate shapes to decorate a birthday cake, though they were eaten before I got to photograph them. I simply oiled moulds as before and poured in some melted chocolate up to surface. Don’t overfill for best results. Grandchildren want to try some xmas sweeties so we’ve thought of peppermint creams – the usual icing sugar, egg-white and peppermint essence mix is simple and so easy. Also some chocolate mixed with flavours, orange perhaps, or almond essence with a whole almond dropped in while chocolate still warm, and of course good old xmas petit fours, marzipan shapes with a little coloured added when set. …the ideas are endless, and this set gives great fun.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
