Erofa 48 Color Art Colour Pencils Drawing Pencils, for Secret Garden Pencil Pouch colored pencil Artist Sketch Set

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

As an artist I’m always interesting in art equipment so was delighted to get these for review. There’s been a recognition recently that adults find colouring relaxing and there are several books aimed at adults with beautiful complex images ready to colour. These would work perfectly with one of those for a gift for a stressed adult for xmas!

They look elegant in a simple silver colour with hexagonal design, and I feel that makes them easier to grip than round pencils. They are easy to sharpen and have an anti break formula. That’s good, sharpening a pencil only to find it snaps two minutes later is very frustrating! I like too that they are “Professional crafted with recycled wood, which is environmentally friendly and non- toxic”. Anything that helps the environment is a bonus IMO.

There’s a huge range of colours and of course by using techniques such as blending and crosshatching you can create an infinite numbers of variables. As well as the pencils, this set includes a great carry case, in a sturdy soft fabric with elasticated inserts for each pencil and a couple of spares for an eraser of ruler maybe? Makes them perfect for taking out of the home for outside sketching, for school and college.

I found them easy to use creating both sharp edge effects and sideways for large cover. I’ve shown in a diagram below a quick ad hoc  experiments I did with a  couple of these.

Stars: Five, terrific gift for others or yourself!

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
