Aromatherapy Essential Oils Sets of 6 and 14 (10ml), 100% Therapeutic Grade Oil Sampler Pack
Aromatherapy oils, collection of fourteen
Review from Jeannie’s product reviews
These sets comes in an excellent presentation box, a dark brown colour with lift off lid making them an excellent gift for someone ( or a treat for yourself! We all deserve a treat now and then.) Each oil is in a dark glass bottle, important as they do best kept away from light, and has a clear label stating the oil type. With fourteen oils to choose from this makes a great range of different blends
I like to use essential oils in electric diffusers and oil burners, but they also have a place as massage oils for relaxation, and for inhaling for health benefits. I also use favourite ones in a carrier oil as a perfume or face/body moisturiser. I put around ten drops sweet almond oil or something in my palm and add a couple of drops of whatever I feel in the mood for that day. Its often lavender or sandalwood, but sometimes I like to blend and have a couple of complementary ones. I do that too when I’m using the diffusers. In summer I tend to use floral and citrus blends mainly, while now, in winter, its sandalwood, frankincense and myrrh type blends, sometimes with some orange or clove to add that Christmassy feeling.
There is a choice between set of six and set of fourteen which is a great start, but if you’re like me you’ll keep adding until you amass a collection that suits whatever mood you’re in. I also make soap for myself and friends, ( from scratch – not the melt and pour type full of chemicals) Using a slow cooker its simple, there are lots of recipes on the web, and that way you control what goes in it and ultimately on your skin, not some commercial company who uses lots of chemicals. I sometimes make pure beeswax candles too – add some oils after the wax has heated ( as with the soap add scented oils last because too much heat removes the fragrance, the bit we want!)
I like that these are 100% natural, organic and organically grown, and in glass bottles. Things like that are important for the environment and for our health. I usually buy oils individually and for a bottle this size of organic oil I usually pay £4 to £6 so you can see what great value they are. Take care when searching for oils, you want essential oils if you’re using them on skin, and purity is important to you. You will see Fragrance Oils much cheaper the essential oils – there’s a huge difference, Fragrance oils are chemically created to smell like natural oils, they aren’t for use in skin and aren’t from natural sources.
