Teeth Whitening Kit

Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

I’ve hated the colour of my teeth since I was 10. Our regular dentist was away so I saw another. He proceeded to lecture me about the colour of my teeth, telling me I needed to brush more often ( despite my saying I did brush daily), and that they were horrible to look at. He went on to say he’d polish one to show me what they could look like. You’ve guessed it – he polished one, it made no difference and he muttered that clearly that was the natural colour of my teeth, couldn’t be helped….its given me a complex ever since even though that was many many years ago now. So the chance to try this was a godsend. I’ve always wanted pearly white teeth, a smile that sparkles but…even telling myself off colour teeth are stronger – well, that’s what I’ve read – doesn’t really make up for it 😦 Maybe at last pearly whites were in my grasp!

I had to wait till I’d got 10 days at home, didn’t really want to answer the questions that grandkids would have on holiday… then on day one excitedly peeled off the strips and applied them.
Its easy to do, there are two strips, one rectangular for top teeth and one shaped for bottom ones. They have a gel on the reverse which works on the teeth. I found it easy to apply and after the first couple of days could apply them without needing to look in mirror. Then after 30 mins simply peel off and discard. The gel has a faint minty taste, nothing horrible or chemical tasting. I found it tended to stick to my teeth even after the strips peeled off so wiped that with a tissue and then rinsed. I found when rinsing that it was best to use slightly warm water but that could just be me, and may not affect others as I do have sensitive teeth.

I took before and after photos, and though I can see my teeth are a little whiter it doesn’t really show up in the images. You’ll just have to take my word for it! There is one tooth which is discoloured internally so that hasn’t changed. I think for smokers, coffee and red wine drinkers who’s teeth do pick up and retain stains this is a great idea, easy to do and fit in even if you’re a busy person and will work really well. For those like me who don’t have stained teeth, (just naturally grotty coloured ones!!) it’ll lighten them a bit but probably no-one but you will notice. After That Talk I’ve been a bit fanatical about brushing, and I was just a bit over expecting and unrealistic I think, but it was easy to use, and it has helped lighten teeth a bit.

Stars: Five.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
