Twinzee Lemon Lime Orange Manual Squeezer - Citrus Press - Unique Design 2 Bowls Built-In-1 Lemon Squeezer - Made From Aluminum

This arrived well packed, in bubble warp in a secure box. Its comfortably heavy and feels like it will last years.

Its one of my favourite gadget of the year I think, its so simple, so easy to use and clean. I’ve damaged joints in my hands and yet this was very simple, requiring very little pressure to obtain juice. It looks like its plastic from those vibrant colours, but its not, its a solid robust metal.

I tried it with oranges first and that was perfect, and then with apple, chopped up so it would fit. You could use plums too – ours have finished now but next year, along with raspberries and strawberries…. We’ve had a great crop this year. I found that simply halving the apple didn’t work that well, I really then needed to quarter it and then it was easy, a little more pressure needed than for the orange, but apples are much firmer of course. The juice obtained though makes it worth it. Fresh juice is nothing like carton or bottled, but the elelctric juicers I’ve seen and tried are both costly and a real pain to clean. They might create the juice very quickly, and get maximum possible but for most I’ve seen taking them apart and cleaning isn’t a quick process….Sometimes the old, manual and simple ways are best.

When I was a kid we had a simple glass juicer where you pressed half a fruit and twisted. This is similar principle but easier as the long handles give better leverage and less mess and sticky fingers! One thing I noticed from the ad was they put oranges in cut side down, and I’ve always done it skin side down. Doing it cut side turns the fruit inside out and gives more juice, that surprised me.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
