20 lights LED String Light, Bluetooth speaker

I love xmas lights, and have several solar and mains powered sets, but this one is battery powered meaning they can go anywhere inside regardless of whether socket are nearby. Its a really pretty set having a teardrop style in a shiny silver mesh effect which looks gorgeous when lit up. They can have two settings, constant on or a quick flash. I’ve tried these in different places, and they are currently under my xmas tree among some tinsel, hiding the wires to the ones actually on the tree.

They take three AA batteries which are not supplied so check you have them or order them at the same time to avoid that disappointment when you want to use something and don’t have the batteries….

Arrived in secure packaging in a smart red and black display box within a packing box, making it a perfect gift.

This is a smart looking speaker, in a kind of rounded triangular shape, with a matt black and mesh finish. It feel very durable and robust and able to withstand the inevitable knocks these products get.  No-one intends that, but its easy to drop things and this seems able to absorb impact. Its got a handy mat to prevent it slipping on glossy surfaces, when the sound is loud…

I’m not great at tech but quickly connected this to my phones via Bluetooth, a Samsung galaxy S mini and my new phone LG Spirit.  There’s an audible beep when connected.Sounds was clear and we played a couple of REM and Fleetwood Mac songs to test….yes, kid of the 70’s here! Its easy to use via the audio jack too. I didn’t test for range, assuming you’d have it fairly close to whatever device you use, but it’s supposed to cover 10 metres.

Sound quality was clear, I’m not a music professional but listen for pleasure and it sounded fine to me. As always you get what you pay for and this price gave what I consider excellent value device.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
