Acxeon Low Noise Rechargeable Cordless Pet Trimmer Hair Clipper for DOG/CAT/PET – UK Plug
I was really impressed with these. The only pet we have now is my hairy Icelandic horse Muska, and I though that was a bit unfair on the poor clippers to use them on her, but Him Indoors was saying he wanted a haircut so….
Usually he goes to barber as his hair is very fine and thin on top, and our Wahl clippers that used to be fine just won’t grip his hair now. If I do it I have to use scissors so he tends to just go to barbers every time it gets a bit long. Anyway he said he’d be tester so we plugged these in and gave them some time to charge. There’s a flashing light to tell that clippers are still charging.
The clippers are very light and easy to hold, easy to charge and can be used cordless for greater range and safety for pets. I liked this function, meant I wasn’t tied to cord length. They gripped his hair and cut through effortlessly. The only thing I can see that’s different is the Wahl ones have two metals blades and maybe that creates static, whilst these have one metal and one ceramic. In any event they were easy to use, efficient, lightweight and worked fine cordless. They were very quiet too – some I’ve used can get very noisy. What I find a huge bonus, and what I’ve never seen before in the several sets we’ve had in the family is that the blades can be detached and washed under tap. That means all the hair can be got out, simply wash the top and brush out hair from the base. It popped out easily and snapped back in very simply. Keeps them clean and hygienic. In the past I’ve found the combo of hair and oils needed tends to clog blades, this way that’s gets eliminated. We used it without the combs but there are two included with different ends giving four sizes.
Its sold as pet clippers of course and when someone is here with a dog I’ll try them. If not then I’ll try a bit of Muska’s coat, I’ve clipped over just freeze-marks in the past on my old horse but she doesn’t have one so I haven’t needed to clip her. I’ve no reason to think these won’t work on pet hair and I’d highly recommend them for pets or humans!
