Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews

This arrived in its own display cardboard box, in a larger card box, so very well packed and looks good as a gift. They look good to my non tech eyes…

They’re easy to adjust as binoculars, and the camera/video buttons for basic stuff are really self explanatory, though there are full instructions supplied. They have a neck strap but no carry case or lens cover, which I think are needed to avoid damage to lens when outdoors. There’s no SD card either grrr…but luckily I had one from another device which also didn’t supply one! I used a Toshiba 16gb though a 32 gb is probably best. These cards aren’t expensive and of course bought in bulk would be  even cheaper so why on earth aren’t they supplied with devices that need them to function?? It makes me irritated if everything isn’t included and I’ve dropped a star for that, and the lack of lens cap and/or carry case 😦 Grump over… The charging cable is non standard so don’t lose it, although I found it will charge from a standard one? I’ve no idea why. I’ve tried to show the difference, the white cable is standard, the black from the binoculars. The gold pins are on opposite side to usual.

Like most people I suspect I wanted to try them out straightaway, so the instructions got put to one side while I played around with functions. The instructions do go into greater detail, though could be a little confusing at times, but I found most things out pretty quickly via trial and error. Even after reading instructions I did find the photo/video modes difficult to separate, kept taking vids when I wanted a photo…but that could be me and my non tech skills, and after a few practice goes I reckon even I would finally get it right each time!

I’m a glasses wearer and the instructions says to adjust the rubber eye piece for glasses users. Unfortunately I’ve recently discovered I’ve other eye problems and my eyes don’t work as a pair. It explains why binoculars have always been impossible for me to use properly and I look through each eye piece separately, using them more as a telescope…Him Indoors doesn’t have eye issues though, and found these very easy to use.

I know the older grandchildren will be wanting to get their hot little hands on these too and take them for some outdoor videos. My eldest granddaughter is a football fanatic though currently only plays at school. These would have been great for videoing clips of her playing in league matches a couple of years back. Still, I have them now and who knows what the grandkids are going to be doing in the future.

These will be great for holidays and days out too. I’ve used my phone to take shots and videos before but they have limitations though, I only have a standard phone, nothing special.

We had fun looking around garden and seeing just how easy it is to look at birds, tree tops etc in great detail. For birdwatchers, anyone interested in nature and outdoor sports of any sort its perfect for getting good clear images or videos of things that are some distance away. They can then be transferred to a PC later. Its got a fitting for a tripod for the more dedicated user, so you can set it up and not have to hold in place waiting for the perfect time to snap a photo or a recording. save arm strain!

Overall its a great device, once you’ve got an SD card and worked out how best to use it and I’m sure will prove very useful.

I’ve very long hair, 32 inches…so usually just leave it to dry naturally. Life is too short to spend hours on primping…but this was so quick and easy I’ll be happy to use it. Heated products aren’t great for hair so I left my hair till almost dry then simply brushed out any tangles with my usual brush and then ran this through.

It comes in a plain cardboard box for protection and what I really liked, a small thing but one I’ve only recently seen, is that it has a velcro strip attached to the lead so it’s simple to coil up, wind velcro round and its all kept neat and safe. Sometimes its the tiny additions like that which make all the difference. It also has a fabric drawstring bag so could be hung up to keep secure when not in use. Thats neat, mine usually fall to back of a cupboard and are hard to find…

Its simple to use, plug in, set heat – and there’s a handy guide for what heat best for your hair type – and then use. It heats up incredibly quickly, just a couple of minutes so by the time I’d brushed out tangles it was ready. I used 190 setting as I don’t like too much heat and thought that was plenty. It’s easy to programme heat, just use + and – buttons, then lock according to instructions to keep heat set at that temp. My hair is pretty straight but the ends tend to kink out, and there’s always little broken hairs along the length that stick out so I was hoping this would give me that sleek and shiny look.

Hair is actually scales when looked at under a magnifying glass and rubbing, backcombing, ect. all ruffle the scales and that’s why it doesn’t shine. Use a good conditioner, and a spray if wanted – I didn’t as I hadn’t any to hand – and then sliding the brush down the hair the warmth and the movement will encourage scales to lay flat and make hair shine. I was impressed at how quickly it worked, and how sleek and shiny my hair looked. The images show my hair before, just rough dried and brushed and after using the straightener.

I don’t know about the massager part, I’ve never heard of anion technology, and Google didn’t make it any clearer…. Seems to appear in many hair straighteners though.

I’ve tried a few of these brushes now and this one is my favourite, it seems to pull out less hair than the others, maybe because the bristles are set differently and my hair slides through easier?

It’s easy to programme heat, just use + and – buttons, then lock according to instructions to keep heat set at that temp. It’s set at 190 on default so that was fine for me and has in total five preset temperatures. My hair is pretty straight but the ends tend to kink out, and there’s always little broken hairs along the length that stick out so I was hoping this would give me that sleek and shiny look.

I don’t know about the negative Ions bit – seems to appear in many hair straighteners though I’ve no idea what it means. I didn’t notice any tangling of the cord, then when writing saw its an anti tangle one – clearly that works!

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
