EleQueen 925 Sterling Silver Full Prong Cubic Zirconia Flower Bridal Stud Earrings 15mm
They come in a pretty box, but inside is just the pink drawstring bag and some plain wadding which catches on the earrings and does nothing to enhance the look. Of course its the earring we really want but a little velvet padding over the wadding would have really made them stand out better.
Anyway, earrings: They’re in rhodium plated sterling silver, so should be fine for most people with metal allergies, and they are set on a simple post and stud fitting.
They’re designed in a beautiful floral/starburst pattern. There’s a round central stone surrounded by six pointed ovals and on the outer circle there are alternating circles and ovals, making a gorgeous pattern that glitters and sparkles.
The design and the multi faceted stones really complement each other, and I can’t decide whether I want to think of them as floral, as I love flowers and they’re very like the traditional sunflower/daisy type pattern, or starbursts as that just sounds so magical and perfect for winter parties!
These really reflect light perfectly, picking up and pushing back to catch the eye. They’re vibrant but not without a subtlety, they aren’t in-your-face flash but a softer catch the eye pair. I think they’d be perfect for winter xmas and new year parties – though as a sparkle and glitter fan I’d wear them anytime, anywhere 🙂 There’s aslo a small polishing cloth inclded to keep the silver shiny.
Stars: Five, lovely earrings, perfect for xmas parties
Silver Mountain 925 Sterling Silver Cubic Zirconia Double Cats Pendant Necklace Box Chain 18″
Review from Jeannie’s Reviews on wordpress.com
This is a cute necklace, one that would make a great gift for kids or for adult cat lovers. Its more an everyday necklace than one for special occasions I think.
It comes in a grey velour drawstring bag with a small silver polishing cloth to help keep it shiny. Its made of sterling silver, with high grade CZ stones.
Its a pretty design, mother cat and baby kitten, with the kitten being plain silver and mum covered in tiny black Cubic Zircona crystals.
Its fuss free and that’s the charm, a pretty design suitable for no fuss wear. The silver is plain, highly polished and adds to that simplistic, minimal feeling IMO. Too much embellishment would spoil the charm.
The cats hang loosely from a box link chain with a simple ring clasp.
The sellers state its Nickel-free, Lead-free, Cadmium-free and Hypoallergenic, Good to know for those with metal allergies. They also give these two promises which I’m very impressed with. I believe sellers should stand behind their products in this way, but too few do.
Promised 1:100% Real 925 Sterling Silver.
Promised 2:Any fake after u received, refund full +compensation 2 times money
Tips from sellers:
Caring for Your Sterling Silver Jewelry
Silver should not come into contact with harsh household chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or chlorine. To avoid scratches, store silver in a lined jewellery box or pouch, as it is prone to tarnish as it naturally reacts with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide in the air. NB: when first married I nearly had a heart attack when a lovely silver ring, gift from my husband turned black after I’d been cleaning with bleach! Fortunately its easily remedied with some silver polish to remove tarnish. It really does react quickly to bleach.
Stars: Five, cute little necklace
LADY COLOUR – Butterfly Charm – Necklace for Women with Crystals from Swarovski – The Nature collections
This is a gorgeous necklace, one that would make a great gift and its one for special occasions I think, but also suits every day wearing.
It comes in a cream box with a white interior, and that sets it off well and makes it great to give as a gift.
Its a silver coloured metal, though not sterling silver and no information over possible gold, silver or rhodium plating. I can’t find any markings on the necklace to confirm. The sellers state Metal type: Zinc Alloy <Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Nickel (Ni) FREE> but if you’ve metal allergies you need to take care.
At current selling price of £23 I’d expect it to be either sterling silver or plated with gold or similar. I’ve deducted a star for that.
Its really pretty pendant hanging loosely from a simple open link chain with a lobster clasp closer. It has a short chain extension so you can select best length for you. I do like those, hate chains that feel too tight on the neck.
The pendant itself is a beautiful butterfly design, something that always appeals to me. Its composed of an outer open butterfly shape in silver colour metal studded with clear Crystals from Swarovski. In the centre there’s a single beautiful turquoise coloured crystal in a butterfly shape, multi faceted to catch the light and making it really visually appealing and suitable for all ages and occasions.
Its got the simplicity for day wear but the colour and sparkle for special evenings. Paired with a similar coloured dress it will add something special to the outfit.
Crystals from Swarovski arte well known now and all have a very high grade appearance, and catch the light really well.
Stars: Four, a really pretty necklace, great for all occasions but I would like to see a better quality metal to it.
Comfysail Multi-purpose Stainless Steel Clothespins, Clips, Windproof, Flat Clothes Pegs, Pin Against Rust for Laundry, Kitchen, Bathroom, Garden, School, Hospital, Outdoor (Pack of 40 Clips)
Pegs. Simple items but so frustrating. I tend to leave mine on the line and they rust, the plastic degrades and I end up with sharp bits round my washing area. I know I should take them in – but who does??
Not me so these seemed like the answer to my problems.
I’m really impressed with them, they’re small but very, very strong. They won’t come undone in strong winds as my current ones do, making me pick up washing that’s fallen in the dirt 😦 and sometimes needs rewashing.
They are easy to use, a simple clip design and have a great finish, nice and shiny and visually decorative, but with no sharp bits that will snag washing, so great for keeping bulky items like tough denims and sheets on the line but also suitable for delicate lingerie etc.
Of course pegs aren’t just for washing lines but great for keeping things like papers in groups, closing food bags and holding clothes that slip onto coat hangers.
The sellers also included with my pegs 20 of another design, a simple one piece twist peg that also has all the above standards. At this quality price I’ll be recommending them to everyone.
Stars: Five, a bargain at twice the price!!

Thermaspike- Ultra Fast Food And Meat Thermometer And Temperature Gauge – Free Battery
Review from Jeannie’s Product Reviews
I had a food thermometer for the first time recently and have used it for so many things since. I’ve been cooking since I was a young child, so around 50 years and never used one. It would have saved many underdone or over done cakes and roasts! I’ve used this one for sponges, roast meats and pies( especially when cooking from frozen when they look fine outside but are still low temp in centre),jams, toffee, sweets, and for fun tested freezer and fridge temp. No more convincing everyone my jam is mean to be “soft-set” when it’s not reached right temp for long enough!! Proper setting means it keeps for longer and avoids mould on surface of the jam. Even used to see our body temperature which kept the grandkids amused at how we all varied very slightly, we’ve a sats/pulse monitor I reviewed and that gives the same variations which fascinates them to see how we all differ a bit.
I tried this against the one I already have, and there was a very marginal difference in reading so I can see that they’re both pretty accurate. Its taken the guesswork out of cooking, I now know the temp we like for roasts such as Beef, and where full cooking is essential, such as poultry and pork for killing bacteria. Its easy to tell if things cooked from frozen are properly heated too.
Its very easy to use, simple switch on, poke in whatever you want to test and the reading is instant. Its been a grim summer so we’ve not had a BBQ but this would be perfect again for avoiding poisoning your guests with underdone food – something very easy to do with BBQ meats. It fits my hand comfortably, having a curved shape, and the spike folds away for safety and avoids getting damaged when stored. I just keep in in drawer near cooker so its to hand soon as I want it. Its ready to use, having a battery included and I think these are essential for all homes.
Stars: Five. A small cost for peace of mind and food safety.

Flamen Silicone Glove, Premium Heat & Water Resistant BBQ & Kitchen Glove, Pair of Two
I’m a real nuisance at getting burned, and also have set my usual fabric oven gloves on fire twice, by leaving them on the hob, while forgetting to switch off the gas….So these seemed like something good for me to trial.
they’re bright, very, very bright orange so I shouldn’t forget where I’ve put them. Though that’s great for me I can see that those people who pride themselves on a tidy home and who have everything colour coordinated will tuck these in a drawer out of sight – and of course then things just don’t get used do they? Unless of course you’ve a Mediterranean style kitchen in vibrant apricots, sunny yellows and terracotta, in which case they’ll blend perfectly…they don’t have that horrible latex/rubber smell that I hate, and expected so that was a bonus. They’ve some very thick texturing on the outside so nothing, even slippery glass Pyrex dishes, should slide out of hands. They’re very flexible and its easy to grip with them, the finger designs is so much better than conventional “mitten” style for grip. I have medium size hands and I found they were ok, a little sticky to put on but my husband found them quite difficult to get on, although they did stretch to his size. Maybe some talc inside would have made them easier? That’s not something most people keep in the kitchen though!
Well, functionality – that’s the important bit. I used these in the kitchen and they were fine with oven trays, Pyrex dishes and hot saucepans. I did feel the steam from the saucepans felt a bit warm through them but didn’t scald. They don’t go far past wrist though so don’t stop those lower arm burns I’m always getting from oven trays ( two – every time – I hit the lower shelf and then the shock means i jerk my arm up and hot upper shelf!) so I prefer gloves that go past wrist to cover lower arm. for the same reason I wouldn’t recommend them for BBQ’s and of course that tends to be male dominated so there’s also the size issue to contend with.
Stars: four, if they were in a sm – med – lge size format and went past the wrist I’d give these a five.

High Quality Julienne Peeler & Vegetable Peeler
Well, after using this on a variety of fruits and veg I took some pics…but being the tech disaster I am somehow between transferring them from phone to pc I’ve lost them – and I stupidly ticked the delete box so I haven’t a copy on phone! If I get a chance I’ll take more and add edit my review later.
Anyway, this is a really fantastic product. It’s incredibly sharp – I first used it in the way I peel spuds with a knife, pulling device towards me, holding potato in left hand. After making some wonderful thin potato slices and matchsticks for crisps I found I’d also shredded a layer of skin on my palm and thumb! Its so sharp I hadn’t even noticed…so beware and peel away from hands instead of towards. The crisps and matchsticks were perfect for frying though, produced some great crisps and chip-sticks. I used potatoes but you could use any firm veg, carrots, beetroot, butternut squash maybe? I deep fried and drained on kitchen paper but you can make crisps in the microwave – YouTube shows some easy methods.
I also sliced and julienned carrots and apples, which were so quick and easy to do. I used the slicing/peeling side on an onion, and got perfect wafer thin onion shreds that combined with the carrot and apple juliennes made a great and attractive salad. Radishes, cucumber, even melon and pears would work .Its just so quick, and the potential for different recipes is endless. As well as the peeling and julienne blades, there’s a triangular part on one side and a semi circle on the other for if you wish to decorate veg, or slice out shapes. This would look good on a cucumber and then use peeler for thin slices maybe? Its full of so many versatile parts that making fruit and veg attractive is easy. I also used it on cheese, making some slices for toasties, and some juliennes strips for melting into a sauce. Easier than a grater and less messy.
I’ve arthritis in my hands so my finger joints are bent, and using a conventional peeler or knife is hard and painful, but holding the spud in my left hand and using the peeler away from me it was quick and easy and – the real bonus – pain free. The handle is long enough to grip securely with my whole hand and doesn’t slip. I think if you want to use on some fruit and veg and get the last bit julienned or sliced, it may help to either insert a metal skewer or a fork in one end so you can hold that instead and avoid slicing fingers….
Its so sharp I wouldn’t let young children use it, and older kids need showing how to use safely. Sharp is what makes is so quick and easy though, so I’d rather it was like this than blunt and safe for kids.
Its easy to clean and for stubborn bits that get stuck there’s a useful brush to remove them included. I’ve slicing and grating attachments on a food mixer, but by time I’ve got it out and then cleaned all the parts it just isn’t worth it, and rarely use it. I can use this and have everything ready and device clean again by the time I’ve got mixer out of cupboard and put together for use.
I can see this device is going to get constant use, being so quick to use and easy to clean.

Edit: 11 nov 15. this has been used constantly and I recently discovered its great for stringing runner beans and also peeling butternut squash. I love that roasted but each time I try to peel one it feels like I’m risking my life – well my hands and arms – as the peel is So Tough and knives tend to slip on it. Using this tough its a doddle. I cut off the stalk end and simply pulled the peeler along as it lay on the board, with me holding it steady via the wide ( blossom) end. I usually discard that part as the flesh is pretty thin there but it would be easy to simply reverse it for peeling if wanted. I pulled peeler over twice as you can see from the images the first peel still leaves a bit on.
